Contacts
Overview
Contacts are people your channels recognise; browse them in a list and open a record for fields, tags, and related conversations.
What a contact is
A contact stores identity and profile data (name, email, identifiers from chat or messaging channels) plus custom fields and tags defined under Settings → Fields & Tags. Conversations can link to a contact when the product resolves one.
Where to work

Open Contacts in the main sidebar for the list.
Lifecycle
Contacts may be active or archived depending on filters. Delete can optionally cascade to related conversations when the UI offers that checkbox, read the confirmation text carefully.
